Gary Dranow and The Manic Emotions - Something About You

Gary Dranow – Something About You | Hypnotic

Gary Dranow and The Manic Emotions is a Blues Rock band. The quartet of bards spent an extensive amount of time gigging around Southern California, USA. With strong bluegrass melodies, phat bass lines, and assertive vocal lines, Gary Dranow creates an atmosphere that engulfs the listener. There’s something comforting about the slide’s dynamism and the sweet Americana feel. The whole project, while currently in the process of releasing singles, is building its way toward the full EP, Destiny Road.

Something About You, the third single release part of this EP, is the manic pixie fever dream. The keyboard and bass work seamlessly joins Sherm Tate’s vocals. The whole song has a very 80s Ballad Rock vibe that seems to take you to another dimension. The psychedelic guitar solo sounds so familiar and welcoming. Moreover, the whole track gives me a very upbeat Led Zeppelin x KISS vibe that I did not know I needed. There’s something about Something About You that keeps you transfixed on the music. It’s a track that makes you feel good about yourself; that could lift your spirits at a moment’s listen.

Gary Dranow and The Manic Emotions are truly on to something with the tracks they’ve released so far. With the dynamism of (Made It) Another Day, the depth of Destiny Road, and now Something About You. I’d keep my ears peeled for the next track and for the EP if I was you. In the meantime, you can check the other tracks they released on most streaming platforms.
