Tom Minor is predominantly heavy on his lyricism, churning words that sting deep and still manage to tickle those who discern him. ‘Expanding Universe’ wittily takes notice of the rampant ravaging of our world and nature by the self-tagged ‘blue-blooded’.

The song takes off with a dramatic old-folk-style entry before expanding (no pun intended) into a double-layered vocals, and Tom’s trajectory of abstract wisdom. The instruments are tight and well-mixed, each element carefully assembled to enhance the song’s vigorous spirit. The tongue-in-cheek tone of Minor’s conversational vocals reveals the dynamics of modern society. The catchy verses are like, “We’re busy and always very busy running a brand new street. We’re driving past your ballpark in our pumped-up pimped-up hearse. Hey, it’s a life-long festivity of our feeble existence.” His likes are intentional and production crisp, keeping the track engaging without a single wasted moment.

And what is most unbelievable about this release of Tom Minor is the timing. The synchronicity with the NASA Boeing Starlink astronauts returning on Earth after 9 months, which was supposed to be just 8 days. The lack of apathy, and empathy that caused two humans to get stuck in space is unthinkable. It is high time that such profit-driven recklessness of the man-child global bullies comes to an end. ‘Expandable Universe’ is a standout number, and the title is a double entendre. Tom Minor’s music exposes modern reality and gives the listeners a choice to choose their reality.
