Toto Funds The Arts (TFA), the organization that has been rewarding India’s rich musical talent, announced the shortlist of the Toto Awards for Music in 2025. It believes in celebrating ingenuity and creativity by honoring singer-songwriters and music bands from all over India cutting across languages and genres. Toto Funds The Arts (TFA) received an impressive 158 outstanding entries of varied artists to which it narrowly trimmed down its longlist from 21 excellent works.
Currently, four remain as finalists that would fight their way for that prized award.
Toto Awards for Music are in the tradition of honoring bold performers that strive to come out with fresh, new sounds. Winners come in genres as Metal, Hip Hop, R and B, Fusion, and Electronica; giving a color rich hue to Indian music spectrum.
The Toto award is also meant for the creator of original contents, hence it only keeps the forefront of authenticity in the art along with innovative excellence.
Nominees chosen under this year for the Toto Awards have an excellent reputation for artistic excellence.
1. Khabardar: Mumbai
2. Shashwat Bulusu: Vadodara
3. Khokkosh : Kolkata
4. Moosa: Pune
Judging criteria are strictly maintained transparent and on an independent hand by the high-level music experts who serve as chief practitioners besides music critics or producers to decide entries at the judging table.
As the countdown continues waiting for the declaration of results, Toto Fund the Arts (TFA) continues to rely on the vast treasure of musical talent that India has in store. The Toto Awards 2025 for Music and Short Film are held at BIC Bangalore every year in spring.
