The key tones that the track starts off with are bright and light on the ears, emulating the fall of raindrops, setting an ethereal atmosphere. The percussion is initially fast and airy, reminiscent of the electronic beats from the 2000s. The hard-hitting beats on the chorus along with the flashy electronic production make it chaotic in all the best ways possible. Energetically the sonic palette switches between light and heavy with the track progressively building towards a finale that sounds like EDM.

Hella Precious gives a spirited vocal performance. Her voice has the innate capacity to sound soft which she navigates cleverly. She knows how to keep it emotional and when to hold back. The single is sprinkled with plenty of clicky electronic sounds doing justice to the genre to which it belongs. I thought that the synth was used effectively to create ambience and the background vocals towards the end of the track really tied it together.
Lyrically the track is very poetically written, placing the “I” at the centre of it. It feels like the emotions spilling over following the inevitable end of a relationship whose “Ghosts” come back to haunt the singer. The physical trauma that is the consequence of the hurt in one’s heart is expressed in detail.
