Eminem and 50 Cent Collab for new Album?

Eminem and 50 Cent : Excitement Spurs Among Fans as the Veterans Hint at Future Collab

In a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid, earlier this week, 50 Cent hinted at the possibilities of a collab with Eminem. He had replied to Eminem’s comments on December 26, indicating that he’s looking forward to scooching out of his rap retirement for the fruition of this project. “Looks like I’ll be back in the booth after all! Just gotta do this residency in Vegas first,” he commented on Instagram.

Eminem and 50 Cent carry the same history of cooperation that shook the world of hip-hop. The duo had their first-ever collaborative venture when Eminem signed 50 Cent to Shady Records, catapulting him to the international scene in 2002. Get Rich or Die Tryin’, a debut album from the erstwhile street boy 50 Cent, touched the entire globe with Eminem and Dr. Dre in an executive production role. It had chart-topping singles like “In Da Club”.

With the Rap God saying that he and 50 Cent “gotta stop bullshittin’ and just do it,” looks like the dream project is on after all!

In another interview with Whoo Kid, Eminem was asked about the prospective idea and he replied: “I don’t know where that’s come from but it’s crazy.”

We need another 50 album like really bad – Slim Shady

He added: “I’m trying to get him to make a new album so bad. We need another 50 album like really bad. 50’s on a roll right now. He’s been on a roll since the [Final Lap] tour. ” “I told him whatever the fuck he needs from me, I’m here. That shit’d be crazy, though — an album with me and him.”

Their discography spans several years and hits such as “Never Enough” from Eminem’s Encore (2004), “Jimmy Crack Corn” from Eminem Presents: The Re-Up (2006), and “Is This Love (’09)”, an unreleased song on Eminem’s 2022 compilation album Curtain Call 2. 50 Cent also admits to such admiration for the artist and his commitment toward music, stating on various occasions how Eminem was the one who pushed him into his career; “When Em brought me on, he didn’t just give me a shot— he gave me a career.”

Their latest output, “Gunz N Smoke,” features on Dr. Dre‘s 2024 album Missionary. This album was accompanied by a humorous social media teaser video. In the clip, two Mormon missionaries knock on the door of a total stranger and find a woman standing in full lingerie, “What the fuck? Your ad said you were dedicated to missionary work.”.

‘Missionary’ sets the corner-stone for prospective collaborative ventures between hip-hop bigshots

Focusing on Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre, their collaboration has defined West Coast hip-hop. Their career started with the 1992 Dr. Dre solo album The Chronic, followed by hits such as “Still D.R.E.” and “Forgot About Dre,” and they have performed in some of the biggest shows, such as the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show with Eminem, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige. They recently performed at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, once again reasserting their ability for global focus.

Their 2024 album Missionary serves as a spiritual follow-up to Snoop’s debut Doggystyle. It features “Outta Da Blue,” which is a collaboration of Jhené Aiko, Sting, and Method Man. The project was lauded for how the influences of 70s funk are blended into something modern.

It cannot be doubted that these artists have always blended genres and styles of hip-hop as well as tenacity in what they do for their roots.

The effects of their cooperation are revolutionary to tell, speaking well of the influence and the way in which hip-hop was left to top the charts in the world’s music.
