There is a calming, almost serene quality to the track that hits you right from the opening notes– with the relaxing guitar riff in the intro settling you into a nice, idyllic pace from the word go; and the drums keep steady tempo, filling your ears with a calming, soothing energy till the vocals kick in; and when they do, they overcome you with gushing peace and positive energy.

The song has a beautiful play with energy that is noticeable throughout; and when the vocasl do hit their higher registers, we’re led, very gently into the hook, which is is supported excellently well by the rest of the ensemble, while the vocals shine front and centre; and this remains the theme for the rest of the song. Lower and higher energy parts seamlessly blend into each other like the colours on an oil painting, and I’m a fan!

The guitar riffing throughout “Bring Me The Sun” as well as the drumming is supported by the production, that elevates it into a whole new level of panache and comfort; with the slight crunch on the guitar tones serving just as more ear candy to those willing to lend their ears– and when one does, every second of this song is a refreshing breath of air, and a really well put-together, sonically cohesive product. There is great interplay and use of themes like dynamics contrast, as well as great orchestration that keeps this song an engaging, relatable listen from the start, to the very close.
In a nutshell, “Bring Me The Sky”, by Sunburn: this is the kind of song that I would come back again and again to– and I mean that in the best of ways. Check out the track here!
