Siren Section - Glass Cannon

Siren Section’s Glass Cannon Is A Dreamy Electro Alt Indie Trip

Siren Section, the Los Angeles-based duo of John (guitar/vocals) and James (piano/synths/soundscaping), have been quietly carving out a niche for themselves with their genre-defying sound. Their latest track, Glass Cannon, is a perfect example of why they’re worth paying attention to. Blending electronic pop, post-punk, industrial, dream pop, shoegaze, and even glitch rock, Siren Section creates a moody, atmospheric soundscape that feels both haunting and hypnotic.

From the first note, Glass Cannon pulls you into its world. The digital rhythms and percussion give the track a sharp, modern edge, while the layers of synths and guitar create a lush, almost cinematic texture. The vocals are raw and emotive, floating over the mix like a ghost in the machine. Meanwhile, the soundscaping adds depth and texture, making the track feel expansive and immersive.

What really stands out is how Siren Section manages to evoke so much emotion without ever feeling over-the-top. There’s a tension here, a sense of fragility and power that perfectly matches the song’s title. There is an edge the the music, where melodies clash with the right textures, creating a tense yet ethereal vibe that feels fresh and something that drowns you into the sonic bed of the production. If you’re a fan of bands like Deftones, Loathe, or Nine Inch Nails, Glass Cannon will feel like a natural addition to your playlist.

Siren Section manages to craft something memorable with this track. It’s moody, it’s layered, and it’s undeniably captivating. Glass Cannon proves that Siren Section is a duo to watch, and definitely wanna hear upcoming music from them.
