Dream Bodies creates new-wave revitalisation with latest single, “Eclipse”

Dream Bodies brings a new wave tidal movement back, with all the bells and whistles. The era was famous for making some of the most uniting, groovy music interlaced with the political turmoil of the time. We find ourselves in a similar place again, and the tunes reflect that and more. This is the latest single by the project, Eclipse.

The depth comes in with the droning monotone that opens the song with the beat. It is a groove that is definitive, especially when the filling pocket has that buzzing frequency. Ambient swirls surround the tones, while a lead comes to bind it all together. If you’re a Joy Division fan, you know how inspired Dream Bodies is to create something that is powerful and resonant.

Making new atmospheres

When you think you can predict the next verse section, there is a unison as a chant that brings the song together. You’re still connected to the tune, the eclipse is coming to bring the glowing halo of light. The Dream Hangover artist has been able to bring a certain punch to his music that is retro, yet has a contemporary atmosphere in the approach. Tunes are dreamy, yet incisively thoughtful–keep your ears perked for sudden revelations.

You can check out the song from Dream Bodies below, and marvel at how a melody is constructed from scratch. Steven Fleet has found a melodic pocket for himself that is expressive of the music that has made him. Now, it will be a part of the music that has made us. Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
