Heavy metal fans, get ready for the show of a lifetime! Ozzy Osbourne will reunite with Black Sabbath’s original lineup for the first time in 20 years at Villa Park, Birmingham, on July 5. The massive Back to the Beginning concert is billed as the “greatest heavy metal show ever.”
“It’s my time to go back to the beginning … time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” Osbourne shared in a heartfelt statement. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever.”
Joining Osbourne on stage will be Black Sabbath legends Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward for one last mind-blowing performance. Before that, Ozzy will treat fans to a solo set.
Also performing at Back to the Beginning will be Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Anthrax, Mastodon and a supergroup featuring Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Korn’s Jonathan Davis, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Wolfgang Van Halen and Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, who will also act as musical director of the concert.

But the day-long event isn’t just about epic riffs and unforgettable performances—it’s also for a good cause. All profits will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice, supported by Aston Villa Football Club.
Despite health battles, including Parkinson’s disease and multiple surgeries, Ozzy Osbourne remains determined to go out on a high note. With Birmingham, the birthplace of heavy metal, as the backdrop, it’s bound to be a show for the ages.
Ozzy rose to mainstream fame in the early 2000s as the lovable, eccentric star of MTV’s hit reality series The Osbournes, alongside his wife Sharon and their kids.
