One of the most prestigious events of the music industry, the Jazz FM Awards, is going to make a return after a hiatus of three years since the last one in the year 2022. The date of the event this year is 24th April, and it is going to take place at a new venue, KOKO, which is located in Camden.
Tracing its inception back to the year 2013, the Jazz FM Awards ceremony has honoured some of the big cats of the global music fraternity, including legends like Herbie Hancock, The Rolling Stones, Dame Cleo Laine, Gregory Porter, Norah Jones, Quincy Jones, and Tony Bennett along with highly popular contemporary artists such as Jacob Collier, Nubya Garcia, Ezra Collective and a wide range of emerging musical talent.

Three of the award categories that are making a return to the prestigious event are the UK Jazz Act of the Year, the Innovation Award, and the Album of the Year, along with an additional new category, which is The Collaboration Award, and this new category of awards focuses on deserving musicians, groups, or organizations who live up to the traditional essence of Jazz, which is none other than collaboration but in a way that is highly innovative, inclusive, and truly inspirational due to its impact.
