Saisha Hayes, a 22-year-old girl from Patna, Bihar has become the youngest artist to feature on BBC Radio. A London daily reported that this occurred with her song ‘One Way Ticket’ with Foenix, which played in 2021.
The singer-songwriter’s song was also selected in the Best Modern Asian Music category on BBC.
According to reports, the idea behind the song came to her in Raigad, Maharashtra, in 2021, and she rushed to record it on her mobile phone and finished it later in London.
Who is Saisha Hayes?
Saisha Hayes was born to a Bihari mother and British father on January 19, 2001. Usha Mishra, her mother, is a graduate of Patna Women’s College and is employed at UNICEF in London, while her father, Christopher Hayes, serves as a civil servant in the UK government. Her grandfather is Hindi littérateur and former IAS officer, late Bhagwati Sharan Mishra.
Graduating with a degree in political science from the renowned King’s College, London, She shares an aspiration similar to her father and grandfather and wants to pursue a career as a civil servant.

Saisha’s Music is Mature and Layered
Saisha Hayes’ affinity towards music started early. At the age of 10, she composed her first song. By the time she turned 19, she had recorded her first EP, ‘Infinity is an Illusion.’
In October 2022, Saisha completed the recording of her second album, titled ‘Prozac’s Poster Child,’ comprising 11 songs. An album about intimacy, it features songs related to dating, mental health issues and the perils of social media.
The youngster also fosters a dream to sing with Bhojpuri singer-turned-politician Manoj Tiwari, according to a report.
Apart from her music, Saisha also spends time focusing on charity work.
