Dirty 30 : Independence Rock Announces Massive Lineup – Bloodywood, Motherjane, Indus Creed, 13AD and More

The 30th edition of Mahindra Independence Rock is set to take over Mumbai on November 16 and 17, 2024, with a stellar lineup featuring Indian rock heavyweights like Bloodywood, Motherjane, and Indus Creed. The festival, which has long been a hub for rock and metal lovers, also includes a special reunion performance by Kerala’s legendary rockers 13AD.

Alongside these icons, bands like Girish and The Chronicles, Chennai blues/punk trio Skrat, and Nagaland’s rising stars About Us are also ready to bring the energy. Fans can also look forward to specially curated sets from Swarathma and Friends, featuring members from Parvaaz, Bhayanak Maut, Sidd Coutto, and Sutej Singh, as well as the Bombay Metal Project, which brings together some of Mumbai’s best metal musicians.

Mahindra Independence Rock, themed “Dirty 30” this year, celebrates three decades of keeping the Indian rock and metal scene alive. It sees several repeat performances from past editions, including GATC, Bloodywood, Indus Creed, and Swarathma, who are crowd favorites and have played in recent years.

A major highlight of i-Rock 2024 is the return of 13AD, who are performing after a long break. Formed in the late ’70s, the Kochi-based band made waves with albums like Ground Zero and Tough on the Streets in the ’90s. They recently reunited for shows in 2023 and 2024.

Motherjane, another Kerala-based band, also returns with new material, including the single “Do Good, Don’t Be Nice,” and promises of an upcoming album.

Tickets, which were initially sold for just ₹30 in the early-bird phase, are now priced at ₹3,000 for a two-day pass, while premium passes (with a ₹1,000 cover charge) cost ₹4,250.
