Taking on a sound of good old American country and pop, Dharmika is the voice and the composer behind “Give Me Shelter From The Storm”– and all through the song, the simplistic nature of the arrangement lets her voice shine through front and centre, making for a melody that is hard to not sing along to. As motifs turn into melodies and melodies turn into progression, Dharmika’s vocals continue to shine through brilliantly, with the production keeping up, and keeping up well.

The ensemble retains a delightfully Americana sound with the harmonicas and the gently strummed acoustic guitars, while the drums inject some energy and pulse into the song, while the pianos in the background keep the listener gentle company on “Give Me Shelter From The Storm”. There is also much to appreciate about the mix and the master here, which retain a great balance and have a vast, open sound that lends the perception of ease, of calm, and of comfort.
All in all, “Give Me Shelter From The Storm”, by Dharmika: a heartfelt journey back to nature, where Dharmika’s soothing vocals and authentic instrumentation transport listeners to the tranquil depths of the forest. A definite pleasure to listen to! Take a listen here:
