Apaolo makes his debut with us with Chase the Sun. With a youthful zeal, his voice carries the joy and enthusiasm of a generation that has been mischaracterized. In this single, perceptions will be changed-either about Apaolo or an entire generation of future rock torch-bearers.
With a rousing intro going into a fun, swinging verse section, we know this kid has the goods. His vocals are unaltered yet distilled, carry the song through the chorus with great aplomb as well. There are moments where the song feels like it will take a dip for the bridge, but cleverly, Apaolo makes sure we pace quickly to a rise. The breakdown and outro are fun and unexpected, the kind of indie rock style closer that people don’t use much. The guitar tone has been engineered to suit his voice, while the rhythm section complements his honey like vocals throughout the track.
For a debut, this is a straight A. There are some obvious parts of the song where the rhythmic pattern can become predictable, but so can you predict it with any rock song’s structure. The thrill is in the decisions taken to make this an easy fan favourite. Listen to his latest single here:

Self professed metalhead, moderately well read. If the music has soul, it's whole to me. The fact that my bio could have ended on a rhyme and doesn't should tell you a lot about my personality.
