On listening carefully, one would find oneself getting lost slowly in the world that Buchs creates so masterfully through these impeccable sounds. The sounds can be described as a gently flowing stream, a fresh spring breeze causing the leaves to rustle, a gentle storm in the sea that gets quiet eventually, or anything synonymous with nature. The soundscapes featured in each and every track are breathtaking and only upon listening can one realize the depth that they carry.
Rejuvenating and soul-stirring, the EP opener, “Letting Go” is as calm and gentle an emotional uprising can be. Featuring some great oceanic instrumentality, the sounds carry enormous depth in them, leaving the listener truly absorbed in the magic. It offers a good glimpse into what to expect from the remaining tracks. A gentle uprising and gently soaring storm that shows its first few colours, but the magic is yet to unfold.
The second track “The Spirit Within” is all about gentle furtherance into one’s soul and imaginatively, a further uprising of the storm. More sonically creative and vibrant than the first track, this song is a true testament to Buchs’ artistic ingenuity. The last one on the EP is a gentler still, a little more charming, and an eulogical piece that shows the innocence of a human’s heart. After all the deep contemplation, the truth of life is revealed through sounds that are a mix of both beautiful and ugly, glorious and depressing, enchanting, and dreadful, just how life is. A truly artistic and symbolic piece, the last track “Remain in My Love” is a song about softness. It is a song that portrays the innocent, gentler side of humans, and that’s why it’s a show-stealer!
