“Better Than Here” by Miles East Transports You To Soft Rock Heaven

New York City indie rock and pop musician and singer-songwriter Miles East crafts a magical soft rock ballad with “Better Than Here”. The track is from his upcoming second album, “Between Lightning and Thunder,” released under the ECR Music Group (Sony) label. Along with being a singer-songwriter, Miles has been in the New York City recording scene as a premier session and touring drummer for more than a decade.

Miles East combines his soft acoustic and electric rock influences, resulting in a blend of the past and present. The gentle, clean guitar tones create an ethereal and nostalgic ambiance, perfectly complementing the evocative vocals. The dreamy chorus, enriched with a nocturnal essence, adds much of depth to the compelling sonic narrative. With its powerfully nostalgic mood and soothing melody, the track embodies the essence of a captivating journey through introspection and longing. The captivating guitar parts within the song transports listeners to an alternate dimension, infusing the composition with a sense of timelessness.

Blake Morgan, who is also the founder of the ECR Music Group, was producer on Miles’ first album. This time, we have Justin Goldner on arrangement and production. Vocals, acoustic guitars, and drums are by East while Morgan handles bass, electric guitars, keys and backing vocals on the song. Producer Goldner added electric guitars and baritone on the track. So it’s not surprise that the production is top-notch.

“Better Than Here” shows Miles East’s prowess as both a musician and a storyteller. It is a nostalgic yet contemporary track that captivates with its soothing rhythms and heartfelt lyricism. Miles East has undoubtedly crafted a musical gem that would resonate deeply with listeners of all ages.
