Molosser‘s live rendition of “Dive In” from Barebones Sessions was just released. The song already has a great songwriting backbone. The song sounds wonderful in the intimate setting, thanks to the downtuned guitar and enticing vocal timbre. The performance is really smooth and precise. Her vocal articulations truly pull you into the composition. It’s difficult to ignore such strong writing, and it’s pure delight to listen such a distinctive voice singing the tune.
The emotion and energy she threw into the performance was mirrored in the way each phrase was conveyed. The guitar also contributes dynamically to the performance, which is essentially a voyage into the setting. The atmosphere must have gotten so tranquil and relaxing that seeing the concert live must have been an incredible experience. There are so many parts in the song when we hear such subtle variations, experiencing those passages live in that setting where our attention would have been entirely focused on the performance, that have been absolutely gorgeous.
