Danish-born, London-based singer-songwriter Jakob Kupferberg aka Jakob The Liar, is back with another compelling release. Following last year’s anthemic pop-orchestral track Sunchild, he now brings us A Song Like You, an alternative rock song that balances warmth, energy, and grandeur. No stranger to playing around with his sound, there is enough here for fans to keep them hooked.

The track starts off with a strummed acoustic guitar, setting a gentle yet confident tone, accompanied by chiming synth elements that add texture. Jakob The Liar’s husky voice immediately draws you in, carrying a rich emotional weight that pairs well with the song’s soaring arrangement.
As the song progresses, the chorus swells with a driving bassline and a full-bodied arrangement that enhances the song’s grand feel. There’s a noticeable shift towards a rockier edge compared to his previous work, but the signature uplifting atmosphere remains. The outro kicks things into high gear, going into full rock overdrive and leaving the listener on a high note.
Jakob The Liar has developed songwriting which is able blend intimate emotions with a cinematic, larger-than-life sound. It’s a song that feels deeply personal yet grand and universal, making it easy to connect with. A nice feel-good, power-packed alternative rock love song that radiates warmth and energy. A Song Like You is the kind of track that lingers, making you want to hit replay just to experience that rush again.
