Pearl Jam are hitting the road once again next year spring, to further promote their 2024 album Dark Matter after this year’s extensive 9-countries and 25-cities tour. The tour starts at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida and goes on with stops at Atlanta, Nashville and Raleigh and finally concludes at PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, PA on May 18th. More dates might be announced soon.

Dark Matter, their seventh studio album, recently crossed 100 Million streams and debuted Top 5 on the Billboard 200. It also scored No. 1 on five Billboard charts simultaneously – Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums, and Top Hard Rock. Title track “Dark Matter” and single “Wreckage” both were at No 1 at Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart. This is the first time the band has been at No 1 consecutively in the charts.

Furthermore, the band recently got nominated for the 2025 Grammy Music Awards, their first time in the last 14 years, While their latest LP has been nominated for the Best Rock Album, the title track has been nominated for Best Performance and Best Rock Song. The awards are going to take place at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 2nd. Other entries for best rock album include artists Rolling Stones and Green Day. As for other nominations in Best Song category we have artists like Billie Joe Armstrong and St Vincent, while Best Performance entries include Green Day.

Dark Matter is available for digital download, CD and Vinyl. Some copies include a Ten Club Exclusive Red Galaxy Vinyl with 24-page booklet, Indie Exclusive Crystal Vinyl with 24-page booklet, standard black vinyl, standard CD, and Deluxe CD/Blu-Ray with HD audio and Dolby Atmos Immersive Mix. All vinyl packages include one of three uniques sticker sheets with five center label tickets, plus a logo sticker. The title track is available on a 7-inch vinyl single.
On the 31st of January 2024, at an album reveal for Dark Matter, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder said the band is looking for new ways to communicate. “We’re at this time in our lives when you could do it or you could not do it, but we still care about putting something out there that is meaningful. No hyperbole – I think this is out best work.”
Pearl Jam’s last album before this, Gigaton had released in March 2020. It was after seven years that they recorded at a studio. The album hit a No 5 on the Billboard Top 200 as well.
