Slash Cancels S.E.R.P.E.N.T Blues Shows due to Unforeseen Circumstances

Four shows on Slash’s S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour scheduled this month have been cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances” as mentioned on the guitarist’s social media post. Those who had booked the tickets will get a refund from the point of purchase.

Dates affected (July):

22 – Cincinnati, OH – PNC Pavilion at Riverbend
24 – Interlochen, MI – Interlochen Center for the Arts
25 – Huber Heights, OH – Rose Music Center
27 – Windsor, ON – The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor

The S.E.R.P.E.N.T tour continues as scheduled from July 28th at the Budweiser stage in Toronto. The guitar legend has apologized to fans for the inconvenience caused. Read the full post below:

The “S.E.R.P.E.N.T.” tour features Slash with his blues band, which consists of Johnny Griparic (bass), Teddy “ZigZag” Andreadis (keyboards), Michael Jerome (drums) and Tash Neal (vocals/guitar).

The name S.E.R.P.E.N.T is an anagram. It stands for Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Peace, Equality N’ Tolerance. The blues festival had been organized so that Slash could give back to the charities he stood by for years and hence the name.

Some blues icons sharing the stage for the tour are Warren Haynes Band, Keb’ Mo’, Larkin Poe, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Samantha Fish, ZZ Ward, Robert Randolph, Eric Gales and Jackie Venson.

The tour ends on August 17 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Check out the festival website for more updates: www.serpentfestival.com.

A day after the Guns ‘N’ Roses guitarist posted about the S.E.R.P.E.N.T festival dates cancellation, Slash also posted about the news of his “incredibly talented” step daughter Lucy-Bleu Knight’s demise. The post is a plea for privacy for his family during this difficult time. This may answer the question why the sudden decision to cancel the tour dates.
